The Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate can be used by educational entities, government agencies, and non profit organizations engaged in horticulture. These customers must be registered with the Texas comptroller to claim tax-exempt status.

The Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate can be used by commercial agricultural producers to claim exemption from sales and use tax when buying qualifying agricultural items they will use exclusively in the production of agricultural products for sale.
